We’re really starting to get some stories under our belt ...

... With five counties in the bag, our “Climate Driven” series has covered a decent chunk of Maine so far. It’s brought statehouse reporter Kevin Miller into the woods, drawn on aerial assets over Moosehead Lake, put some more miles on “Pearl” our electric car, and reported on heat pumps putting out more hot air than a town meeting!

You can find all of our stories at mainepublic.org/climatedriven.

Elsewhere in our batch we have stories on the Downton Abbey film, which countries are resisting remote work, conserving fungi, the Bates graduate who won NPR’s Tiny Desk contest!

We are celebrating 60 years of Maine Public telling Maine’s stories and we’ve put together 60 cool factoids about Maine Public and the content we have shared with our audience over the years. Here is factoid #48:

Back in 2015, Maine Public launched a series of “Twitter Chats” with personalities from Maine Public and NPR. It was a seamless way for our audience to interact and get to know the people behind the voices they heard every week on Maine Public Radio. Our first Twitter guest was Krista Tippett, the host of On Being. #mainepublic60

See all the 60 for 60 interesting tidbits HERE. Maine Public’s celebration of our 60th anniversary of telling Maine’s story is made possible by all of you and through the support of Birchbrook and Maine Credit Unions.
