We are in Oxford County this time, where our first stop looks at what is happening to evergreen trees in Maine and how changing weather conditions are destabilizing the industry. We also take a bus trip from the western mountains to Lewiston to explore what public transit infrastructure looks like; how snowmaking is changing; and the latest in weatherization.
As electric cars are becoming more popular, the Maine Public News Team wanted to find out more about what it takes to operate one, especially in more rural areas. That brings us to Pearl, our Nissan Leaf. Our series will also explore how she ran in Oxford County. Tune in for that early next week!
We’ll squeeze in some book recommendations from our Maine Calling team, tips on curbing shopping (if you need them), and how the construction industry is looking at waste.

Scientists say that some of the state's best-loved conifers are under threat, with extreme weather making it difficult for them to grow.
All Creatures Great and Small on Masterpiece returns to Maine Public Television in a grand way next month with a Season One New Year’s weekend marathon and the premiere of the all-new Season Two.
