Park City PowderFest

Let the Preparations Begin!

Dear Friend,

Just popping in with a little Huntsman Cancer Foundation SportsFest check-in because things are really starting to come together over here! Over the next couple of weeks, you will receive a newsletter every Thursday with crucial information to prepare you for event day. Be sure to read through everything carefully.

As a friendly reminder, online registration closes Sunday, June 7, at 11:59 pm! We know you’re registered, but encourage your friends and family members to sign up before then so event day stays smooth and stress-free. Let’s get the whole crew registered and ready to roll. Late registration will be available in-person ONLY on Friday, June 12, from 4–7 pm, but only those who register online by the Sunday deadline will receive an official event shirt. On-site registration is not available on event day.

Speaking of t-shirts…now’s the moment you’ve been waiting for! Are you ready to see what this year’s event t-shirts and cycling jerseys will look like? Drum roll, please! We can’t wait to see you sporting this year’s look!

Raising Cane’s Fundraising Day: Grab some Raising Cane’s for a good cause! Join us on Wednesday, June 3, from 12–10 pm at any Raising Cane’s in Utah and support Huntsman Cancer Foundation. Just mention the fundraiser in-store or use code RCFUND96 when ordering online or in the app, and 15% of your order will be donated back to the cause. Easy dinner plans plus giving back equals a win-win!

Friday Night Fundraiser Dinner: When you raise $200 or more, you receive a free ticket to the Friday Night Fundraising Dinner sponsored by Chili’s. You will receive an email and will also be contacted a couple of weeks before the event to request an RSVP. Guest tickets will be available for purchase. Kick off SportsFest weekend with a relaxed, come-as-you-are evening celebrating the impact of our community.

MileSTONES: Why do you participate in SportsFest? As you start your event, grab a bag and a stone, tuck it in your pocket, and grab a new stone at each water or rest stop. Each stone represents why you participate in SportsFest. At the finish line, participants will place their stones into a shared container as a symbol of support, remembrance, and hope for all affected by cancer.

VOLUNTEER OPPORTUNITIES: There are many components of SportsFest, but not all may be for everyone. Do you know someone who wants to participate, but may not be in a sporty mood? Send them our way! We have hundreds of volunteer opportunities from staffing a feed zone to checking in participants and cheering them on. The options are endless. Looking for more info? Check out our volunteer page!

Let’s Meet Huntsman Cancer Institute’s Wellness & Integrative Health Center: At Huntsman Cancer Institute, we believe healing is more than just treating disease. It’s also about restoring balance to body, mind, and spirit. The Wellness and Integrative Health Center brings together evidence-based integrative therapies, supportive care, and personalized wellness plans so patients, survivors, and loved ones can thrive at every step of their journey.

As part of a leading, research-driven National Cancer Institute-designated Comprehensive Cancer Center, our integrative program is a core component of care. We combine traditional oncology with integrative services such as acupuncture, massage, nutrition counseling, creative arts therapy, personalized exercise plans, mental health services, and rehabilitation—all provided by highly-trained practitioners who understand the unique needs of people affected by cancer. Keep an eye out for this fun tie-dye crew at SportFest and check out our tent on event day to learn more!
