Suplex
Some of my favorite courses in film school were those that explored how each culture around the world has approached television and film in a unique way. From Paul Verhoeven to Nicolas Winding Refn, cinema and television in Denmark has always distinguished itself with bold, daring stories that challenge viewers with striking visual language. We have a healthy handful of cutting-edge Danish shows in our WETA+ exclusive Dramas from Around the World collection, and now, we have one more! In the idyllic town of Vesterlov, a young wrestler's brutal murder shatters the community. Coach Lars becomes the prime suspect, while his wife Charlotte is entangled in an affair with the investigating police chief. As buried secrets surface, a town's facade crumbles under the weight of its hidden truths. From Walter Presents, in Danish with English subtitles, watch now on WETA+ with PBS Passport!
