At WETA, we’re committed to giving our community the best possible streaming experience—one that makes it quick and easy to enjoy your favorites and explore our vast library, whenever and wherever you choose.
That’s why we created WETA+, a brand-new streaming service designed to bring you the best of WETA more conveniently than ever. With the free WETA+ app, you can watch live streams of WETA PBS, WETA UK, WETA Metro, WETA World, and NHK World-Japan at home or on the go. Our team has thoughtfully curated special collections to help you make the most of WETA—featuring audience favorites, new releases, hidden gems, timeless classics and more.
WETA+ has been many months in the making, and we are so excited to share it with our community. Earlier this year, we invited a select group of our most active and engaged streamers to enjoy early access to WETA+ on Roku devices and share their experiences with us. Their invaluable feedback has helped us fine-tune the experience, and now, we're inviting you to be among the first to try WETA+ on your Amazon Fire device!
The WETA+ app is free to download on your Amazon Fire TV or Amazon Fire TV Stick. If you have any questions about accessing WETA+ with your Amazon Fire device or need direct assistance getting set up, please feel free to reach out to our friendly Audience Services representatives at 703-998-2724 (Monday-Friday, 9:00 am-5:00 pm) or email at [email protected].
To get started on your Amazon Fire TV or Fire TV Stick:
1. Click this link to access the WETA+ App on the Apps and Games storefront on amazon.com. Sign into the Amazon account linked to your Fire TV device, select your Fire TV device from the “Deliver to” dropdown menu, then click “Get App.” The WETA+ app will be waiting for you on your home screen when you turn on your TV!
Alternatively, turn on your TV, hold down the microphone button on your remote and say “WETA PBS,” or use the home screen search bar or Amazon Appstore and search for “WETA PBS,” select the WETA+ PBS app, and install it.
2. Once installed, open the WETA+ app from your home screen, or open Your Apps & Channels and open it from there
3. When you open WETA+ for the first time, you will be prompted to sign in with your PBS account. Using a separate device, visit weta.org/plus and enter the six-digit code that appears on your screen, or scan the QR code to navigate to the page and enter the code automatically. Once you’ve logged in on your other device, hit “Start Watching” on your TV.
