Hi WHYY Passport fan,
Finally — we have sprung forward and can enjoy longer, sunnier days for the next few months. But first we have to get over the post-DST slump — I don’t know about you, but sometimes it takes me a full week to adjust to the new time!
Whether you’re also in need of some comfort shows to help you rest and reset, or are looking for something to excite and inspire you for the brighter days to come, you can find what you’re looking for on WHYY Passport.
Last month, Gospel and Gospel Live! provided poignant reflections and jubilant celebrations fitting for Black History Month. They inspired me to dive deeper into the culture programs and documentaries in the WHYY Passport library. Since it’s Women’s History Month, I was especially drawn to narratives focused on women of color. I’m excited to share a couple of my favorite finds below!
I’m also excited to remind you about a couple of my favorite binge-worthy series starring strong, inspiring (and controversial!) female characters and the recent American Experience doc that shed light on one part of the women’s rights movement that usually goes over people’s heads.✈️😉
Happy viewing!

P.S. WHYY Passport Members can stream every episode of two exciting new Masterpiece series when their first episodes air on WHYY-TV 12. Look for Nolly, starring legend Helena Bonham Carter as the titular character based on real-life actress Noele Gordon, and high-concept romantic drama Alice & Jack, on Passport on March 17.
