Sergeant Chris Jenkins

Loudon County Sheriff's Office, Tennessee

On February 3, 2022, Sergeant Chris Jenkins was struck and killed by a tractor-trailer while attempting to move a ladder from I-75 near mile marker 74 in Loudon County, Tennessee.

The ladder had fallen off the back of a utility truck and had created a traffic hazard on the interstate. Sergeant Jenkins had brought traffic to a stop with a rolling roadblock and then exited his vehicle to remove the ladder. Heather Estudillo

Madd National Director of Victim Services

When many people think of MADD, they think of us as a legislative powerhouse, a coalition of passionate people working together with law enforcement and other community partners to prevent these awful crimes from happening.  What’s surprising to most, is that we offer free robust case management services to victims and survivors of drunk and drugged driving crashes throughout the US.

Madd offers a 24-Hour Helpline for victims and surviors to have someone to talk to and to seek answers to some of the many questions that bubble up after a crash. It's also important to note, that same Helpline is avaliable for our dedicated first responders who put their lives on the line everyday as they respond to dangerous calls.  . Read More...
