Another Chance at Health and Happiness

Huntington was rescued by a local municipal shelter after being abandoned when his family moved. Clearly neglected for quite some time, he had a mouth full of broken teeth and old injuries that healed incorrectly. Knowing ARF was his best bet for recovery, the shelter reached out for help to get him the care he needed. ⠀

During Huntington's surgery at ARF’s clinic to extract some teeth, x-rays were taken of an old injury. Although the improperly-healed injuries didn't seem to bother Huntington (and additional surgery was deemed unnecessary), ARF’s veterinarians found BB bullets still lodged in his shoulder — a clear sign of the rough life Huntington had lived. But thanks to ARF's talented veterinary team and his loving foster family, Huntington was able to bounce back and start his new life out on the right paw. Will you make a donation today to support animals who have experienced some of the worst things imaginable?

October is Adopt a Shelter Dog Month

October is Adopt a Shelter Dog Month! These four adorable, adoptable pups are looking for loving homes:

  • Grus is an older gentleman who is looking for a nice, mellow life. He recently finished treatment for heartworm and wants to celebrate with a family of his own.
  • Frisbee is a young pup with a big personality! From playing games in the yard to romping around with other dogs, Frisbee just wants to have FUN!
  • Slushie never wants to leave your side. At only 11 pounds, this senior sweetheart would make for a great couch companion for your next TV show binge. But she doesn’t mind the occasional adventure either!
  • Versailles is a recent mama whose puppies have all found loving homes. She's ready for some well-deserved rest and relaxation filled with cozy cuddles and tasty treats.
