Hancock County Drops Next Week!

It’s our latest installment in "Climate Driven," our series visiting all sixteen counties in Maine. We'll touch on one of the rarest populations of Arctic Charr, efforts to revitalize local clams, and the link between mental health and the environment.

In our survey of Maine Public News stories this week we look at a new health insurance provider entering the state’s marketplace with an effort to encourage more basic care, a focus on the ongoing housing crisis facing asylum seekers as a pool of federal money is spent down, and a look at the gap in Maine’s mental health system.

From the across the public media sphere: our NHPR colleagues report that conditions look good for the New England power grid this winter, Ukrainians are relocating to Vermont, and BBC imagines what a “Green World Cup” would look like.

Speaking of which, is your favored team advancing in the Cup?

Drop us a line!

Best,
Mark
