IMF Regional Community Workshop—Eastern Midwest on October 22

The IMF Virtual Regional Community Workshop will take place on Saturday, October 22, from 10 a.m. CST to 12:30 p.m. CST. Guest speakers include Craig Cole, MD (Michigan State University, Karmanos Cancer Institute—Detroit, MI), and Rafat Abonour, MD (Indiana University, Simon Cancer Center—Indianapolis, IN). IMF Nurse Leadership Board (NLB) Member Deborah Doss, RN, will talk about managing side effects and symptoms of myeloma and treatments. After each presentation with the experts, attendees will have ample time to ask questions.

The IMF M-Power Initiative is focused on changing the course of myeloma in Black communities. Myeloma is two times more common in people of African descent than in all other races and ethnicities. 10th Annual Miracles for Myeloma 5K Hybrid Run/Walk on October 15

The 10th Annual Miracles for Myeloma Hybrid 5K Run/Walk will be held on Saturday, October 15, 2022, in-person in a safe environment at Oak Ridge Park in Clark, NJ. This year will still be a HYBRID race and participants still have the option to join a team virtually or in-person. For those who are unable to participate, donations are also being accepted here.
