Two exciting events are coming up next week featuring members of the PFLAG National team. We hope you’ll join us for one or both! Join our friends at Indivisible and PFLAG National on Tuesday, June 16, from 7–8:30 p.m. ET for Leading with Inclusion: Courageous Solidarity Across LGBTQ+ Communities. Featuring PFLAG National’s Vice President of Advocacy, Katie Blair, and Vice President of Learning & Inclusion, Jamie Henkel, this timely conversation will examine the challenges LGBTQ+ communities continue to face, particularly at the intersections of race, class, gender identity, and sexual orientation. Together, they will explore how systems of oppression impact LGBTQ+ people and share practical strategies for building more welcoming, affirming, and effective movement spaces. RSVP today! On Thursday, June 18, at 7:30 p.m. ET, Red Wine and Blue will host 2026 Trends: How State Legislators Are Targeting LGBTQ+ Rights featuring presentations from PFLAG National’s Katie Blair and Patrick Cochran. State legislatures across the country have introduced a wave of bills targeting LGBTQ+ people and their families, affecting everything from health care and education to the freedom to live openly and authentically. Together, they will break down the major anti-LGBTQ+ legislative trends emerging in 2026, explore what’s driving these attacks, and highlight the strategies advocates and communities are using to push back. RSVP today. California The State Senate passed SB 934— Senator Scott Wiener’s critical bill giving conversion “therapy” survivors more time to come forward and seek justice—last month. Now we’re in the final push to get this bill to Governor Newsom’s desk. We need you to make sure the Assembly passes this bill! Conversion “therapy” survivors deserve justice; tell your Assemblymembers to vote YES on SB 934! Florida Join our partners at Parenting with Pride on July 20th for their 3rd annual Pride in Every Backpack Summit - Parent Education Summit. This summit will provide practical tools, expert guidance, and community support to help families feel less alone. This year, Jeanette Jennings, mother of Jazz Jennings, is the keynote speaker. Jeanette has helped educate millions through the hit series I Am Jazz and through the books she and Jazz have written together. Pride in Every Backpack is about making sure every child enters the school year feeling safe, supported, and celebrated. Register today! Hawaiʻi Last week, Governor Josh Green signed into law a bill that shields Hawaiʻi providers, patients, and the people who help them from out-of-state attacks on lawful health care. Some states are trying to punish care that is fully legal in other states where it's provided — such as abortion, contraception, and gender-affirming care. HB 1875 can protect providers and patients from these attacks. Reach out to Governor Green and thank him for protecting our doctors and patients!
