Dear PFLAG Supporter, Happy Pride Month! As everyone jumps in, we wanted to keep connected around both the fun and the work of the busy Pride and summer season. Below, you’ll see more about connecting with us and other chapters to share photos and stories from your Pride experiences. We know that Pride is a lot of work though, too! Don’t forget as you're putting together things like email sign-ups to include ways for folks to express interest in volunteering or supporting your chapter. Chapters get some of their biggest audiences during Pride Month, so make sure you’re able to connect with them year-round! In addition to seizing the moment to find volunteers, in this edition of Leadership Learnings you’ll find:

2026 State Legislative Update
This past Wednesday night, hundreds of supporters joined us to reflect on the 2026 state legislative session and the work that YOU accomplished leading PFLAG chapters in critical state advocacy work as part of the Fighting For Our Pride campaign. Together, we celebrated the power of your advocacy, shared lessons from chapter leaders in Florida and across the country, and reaffirmed our commitment to protecting LGBTQ+ people and those who love them. As part of this work, we are proud to share our 2026 End of Session Wrap Up, highlighting your extraordinary efforts as PFLAG advocates. Across the country, you fought for our Pride by showing up at statehouses, speaking out in hearings, meeting with lawmakers, building community support, and securing meaningful victories in the face of unprecedented attacks on LGBTQ+ rights. This report captures both the challenges we faced and the impact our movement continues to make together. If you would like to watch the webinar recording, access the resources we shared, and learn how to stay engaged in the fight for LGBTQ+ equality, visit our Fighting For Our Pride webpage. And thank you—this work ONLY happens because of your leadership!

June’s Think Tank is open to all PFLAG chapter leaders, regardless of geography and community type! Whether your chapter is rural, urban, or suburban, register now for the Think Tank on Thursday June 25th at 5pm-6:30pm PT / 8pm-9:30pm to discuss turning interest from outreach into real PFLAG engagement. Summer as a PFLAG chapter often means tabling, tabling, tabling! Pride events and other summer activities take center stage. When you table, you have folks drop by and take your materials, follow you on social media, or sign up for your email list. But then what? In June's Think Tank, we will discuss how to turn contacts into committed community-- meeting attendees, volunteers, community partners, and more. Chapter leaders from PFLAG Seattle (WA), PFLAG Chester/Westchester County (PA), PFLAG Portland (OR), PFLAG Rome (GA), and more will be sharing their chapters' successes in this arena and tips and tricks on how to build PFLAG community from your tabling outreach before we move into a broader group discussion. Come prepared to learn how other chapter leaders have built a strong pipeline from casual interest to dedicated PFLAGer, as well as sharing your own chapter's success stories and asking questions!

Reminder to RSVP for the Virtual Screening of Leviticus
On Wednesday, June 10th at 8pm ET/5pm PT, you and your chapter members are invited to an exclusive virtual screening of Leviticus, a highly anticipated conversion therapy film hitting theatres on Friday, June 19th. Two teenage boys must escape a violent entity that takes the form of the person they desire most— each other, in this queer horror romance that had a buzzed-about debut at Sundance and has played at film festivals across the country, winning awards along the way. Catch the Leviticus trailer today! This virtual screening, followed by a Q&A with director Adrian Chiarella, is an opportunity for folks who might not otherwise be able to see the film locally to see it in advance, especially folks outside of larger cities. There are fewer than 50 spots left to watch the film and join the Q&A, so RSVP today by sending your name, your email, and your chapter name to [email protected]. Once your RSVP is confirmed, you'll receive a follow-up email closer to June 10th with a link to the watch party, your unique Screener PIN, and instructions on how to log in.

As your chapter is busy with tabling and celebrating, I’m sure you’re capturing some of these joyful moments in photos. I’d love to see those, and our Digital team would love to share them—with your permission—on social media! If you’d like to share your Pride photos with me, other chapter leaders, and the broader PFLAG community, you can add your photos to this Google Photos album—make sure to take a look at the other photos in the album to see the ways other chapters around the country are celebrating Pride, too. Check out this tutorial if you aren’t familiar with Google Photos.
