Dear Friend, Just popping in with a little Huntsman Cancer Foundation SportsFest encouragement because whether you’ve already started fundraising or are just getting ready to jump in, you’re doing great. Every participant helps power SportsFest, and every dollar raised supports the mission of Huntsman Cancer Institute. That impact adds up quickly, and it’s all thanks to this amazing community showing up together.

RUN/WALK COUCH TO K TRAINING PROGRAM: You do not have to be an elite runner to join SportsFest. We invite everyone, regardless of age, ability, or experience, to join and make a difference in cancer research. If you are looking for a training program to help you walk or run the 5K or 10K, check out our recommended Couch to K training program created by our experienced running coaches.
RIDE UTAH TRIPLE CRANK: We are thrilled to be the first ride event of the legendary Utah Triple Crank sponsored by Stadler! This prestigious three-event award recognizes those who successfully complete Huntsman Cancer Foundation SportsFest’s 140-mile distance, the Iron Lung ride, and LoToJa as an individual in the same year. That’s almost 450 miles that support the mission of Huntsman Cancer Institute! Are you up for the challenge? For more information about Utah Triple Crank and to sign up for the challenge, please visit the Utah Triple Crank website. SALEM SHUTTLE: Riding from the Salem start line? Our Salem Shuttle Service is back, generously sponsored by Daiichi-Sankyo, to make your event morning easier and stress-free. The cost is $30 for participants who raise $250 or more, and $80 for non-fundraisers. The Salem Shuttle includes Friday night bike transport to Salem, Saturday morning rider shuttle from Salt Lake City to Salem, and a comfortable motorcoach with a restroom and charging ports. There are only 55 spots available, so reserve yours early! SIGN UP HERE! SATURDAY TEAM TRAINING: Every Saturday, our Huntsman Heroes cycling team hosts a team training. All active fundraisers are invited to attend. Please watch your email for more details. If you do not receive the weekly Thursday training emails, please email us at [email protected] to be added to the list.

Looking for an easy way to boost your fundraising? Remind people that there are incentives involved! A quick line like, “I’m fundraising for SportsFest and working toward some fun event perks, all while raising money for the mission of Huntsman Cancer Institute.” This can give supporters an extra nudge, especially when paired with why the cause matters to you. Don’t forget to check out the SportsFest incentives for this year, so you know what fun goals you are working towards.
