Do you have an invasive species project idea that could use the help of our Invasives Strike Force (ISF) Crew? Then good news! We have just released our call for project proposals to engage our ISF Crew this 2025 field season. Each year, the Invasives Strike Force takes on invasive species control projects of local and regional importance, using the best management practices available to address approved priority projects at no cost to the landowner. The ISF Crew is a boots-on-the-ground early detection, rapid response crew that travels throughout the Lower Hudson Valley to manage priority invasive species populations. Priorities are outlined in the application, but in general, the ISF prioritizes management of invasive species with low regional abundance and high invasiveness potential (Tier 2), as well as projects that protect conservation targets and/or have notable social and recreational value. Projects taken on by the ISF must occur within the Lower Hudson PRISM boundaries in New York. The due date for this application is Monday, February 10, 2025 at 5pm.
