The IMF Brings Back ‘Do You #kNOwMyeloma?’ for Blood Cancer Awareness Month 2024

With Blood Cancer Awareness Month coming up this September, the International Myeloma Foundation (IMF) is reviving and amplifying its highly successful #kNOwMyeloma campaign, centering on the question: "Do You Know Myeloma?" Explore the IMF’s Blood Cancer Awareness Month website for infographics on myeloma facts, research breakthroughs in myeloma treatment, and inspirational stories of hope and resilience from those living with the disease. IMF Holds Brian D. Novis Research Grant 2024 Awards Reception and Dinner in Los Angeles

At the culmination of the Patient and Family Seminar (PFS) in Los Angeles, the International Myeloma Foundation held the Brian D. Novis (BDN) Research Grant 2024 Reception and Dinner on Saturday, August 17 at the Sheraton Universal Los Angeles in North Hollywood. This year’s BDN junior grant recipients are Martin Gazvoda, PhD, of the University of Ljubljana in Slovenia (organized by Kent Oliver and funded by Laughs for Life); and Alireza Gholipour, PhD, of Massachusetts General Hospital in Boston (organized by Ron and Sheree Pask; funded by Miracles for Myeloma 5K Run/Walk). The BDN senior grant was awarded to Mark Bustoros, MD, of Weill Cornell Medical College in New York (organized by Pam Poliakoff and the IMF; funded by Miles for Myeloma 5K Run/Walk and Inland Empire 5K Run/Walk for Myeloma Miracles).
