The Building Resilient Infrastructure and Communities (BRIC) program is one of the federal government’s single largest programs for advancing community resilience to climate-driven disasters. National Wildlife Federation has long advocated that BRIC prioritize nature-based infrastructure projects more highly. Read more about changes made in this year’s BRIC funding cycle that will encourage more landscape-scale nature-based solutions.

A New Look at Oxford’s Shorelines

National Wildlife Federation is working with communities on the front lines of sea level rise to implement nature-based solutions to storm surge and rising sea levels. Take a look at the newly completed living shoreline, innovative living breakwaters, and dunes in Oxford, MD, which are now providing valuable softened shoreline habitat for coastal wildlife and reducing flood risk for Oxford’s human residents.
