Snowy Start to the Semester

Despite the snowy start, the spring semester is in full swing, and it’s been so energizing to welcome our new and returning Eagles to campus! Winter Welcome Week launched the semester with a flurry of fun! Your student can look forward to our Winter Wonderland and Frosty Groove Fest events coming soon! Throughout the semester, your Eagle can always find events like these through Engage.

As you and your family make plans for the spring semester, be sure to bookmark our calendar for families for dates from our academic calendar, student accounts, housing, and more.

Dates, deadlines, and reminders

1/29: Deadline to apply for Tuition Refund Insurance

3/10 - 3/17: Spring break; no classes, university offices open Monday through Friday

3/25: Deadline to apply for spring graduation

5/1: Deadline for current (continuing) AU students to submit the FAFSA

5/2 - 5/8: Spring final examinations (exam schedules may differ from class schedules)

5/10 - 5/12: Commencement Weekend Activities

AU offers a comprehensive array of resources, programs, and services to assist students and graduates with their career development. There's so much more here than resume critiques and job listings! In this session, we'll hear from experts in our Career Center as well as our business and international service schools to talk about our resources for students, how we cultivate relationships with employers, and how families can best support their students. Some of the trends we're spotting might surprise you - join us to learn more! In advance of this session, you may find it helpful to review the range of resources available through the Career Center.

Eddie Leavy's vibrant personality and community-focused approach to the entertainment business shine through in Media and Mix's latest episode. As an actor, singer, voiceover artist, writer, and proud School of Communication (SOC) Eagle, Leavy provides valuable insight into a career in bustling Los Angeles. He has achieved great success, playing "Anthony" on A.P. Bio and in several other roles seen on HBOMax, Netflix, Apple TV+, ABC, TruTV, and BET.

AU’s heritage Spanish program—one of only a few offerings of its kind at universities across the US—has helped 255 undergraduates develop multilingual and multicultural literacy through the use of heritage language, a nondominant tongue that’s often spoken at home.
