Register Now for the February 1st Virtual Regional Community Workshop

The IMF will host a Virtual Regional Community Workshop for the Northeast and Southeast Regions on Wednesday, February 1, 2023, at 2:30 p.m. PST / 4:30 p.m. CST / 5:30 p.m. ET. Craig Cole, MD (Michigan State University, Breslin Cancer Center —Lansing, MI) and David Vesole, MD, PhD, FACP (Hackensack University Medical Center, John Theurer Cancer Center — Hackensack, NJ) will provide an introduction to myeloma as well as discuss upfront treatments at diagnosis, maintenance therapy, relapse information, and clinical trials. IMF Nurse Leadership Board member Kimberly Noonan, DNP, ANP-BC, AOCN (Dana Farber Cancer Institute — Boston) will talk about managing side effects and symptoms of myeloma and its treatments. After each presentation with the experts, attendees will have ample time to ask questions.

First in a Series of Videos on Bispecific Antibodies

In the coming weeks, the IMF will release a series of videos that take a deeper dive into bispecific antibodies. In the first of these videos, IMF Chief Medical Officer Joseph Mikhael explains the basics of the immune system, including Natural Killer (NK) cells, and T cells. He discusses antibody immunity, or the “complicated machinery of patient’s own immune system to target or kill cells,” which is called immunotherapy.
