It’s that Time! Celebrate Garden for Wildlife Month this Spring

Hello Community Team Leaders and Members,

The National Wildlife Federation is celebrating Garden for Wildlife Month this May. Every year, about 30% of all Certified Wildlife Habitat® certifications come from Community Wildlife Habitats. As wildlife champions, we are calling for you to help to spread the word about Garden for Wildlife™ by promoting the following campaigns with your networks via social media, email, or any other channels. 

This toolkit has social media templates and a QR code to aid you in easily sharing information across your networks. Below are the 2024 Garden for Wildlife promotions and discounts.  

1. GARDEN20 Discount Code Early Access: We have made the GARDEN20 discount code live early just for your use during in-person events before the start of May. Please refrain from promoting this discount code broadly online until May 1st, but if you’re doing a special event this weekend and were hoping to get people to sign up at the event to try to eliminate any barriers to their certification experience, feel free to use the GARDEN20 code!

2. Sign Up for the Garden for Wildlife Newsletter and be Entered to Win the Wild Birds Unlimited Sweepstakes: The Garden for Wildlife™ program offers a free monthly newsletter that highlights tips, tricks, webinars, and stories from across the country on how to attract wildlife to your yard or garden. New Certified Wildlife Habitat® participants who sign up between now and May 31st will be entered into the Wild Bird Unlimited Sweepstakes for a chance to win a $100 Wild Birds Unlimited gift card. 

3. Celebrate Garden for Wildlife Month in May and Certify Your Wildlife Garden: Receive 20% off your total when you certify and purchase any Certified Wildlife Habitat® sign. Urge Your Local Leader to Make May Garden for Wildlife Month: If you are interested in helping promote local policies around wildlife gardening and conservation, we urge you to work with your local government to pass a proclamation designating May as Garden for Wildlife Month.
