In Tune with Sara Willis Returns!

Exciting news this January with the return of In Tune with Sara Willis to Maine Public's airwaves. This much-loved radio program, featuring contemporary singer-songwriters, folk, blues, acoustic rock, jazz, alt country, and world music, took a bit of a hiatus, but host Sara Willis is back behind the mic and creating playlists and featuring artists that you just won’t hear anywhere else.

In Tune will air Saturday evenings from 6-8 p.m. on Maine Public Radio and can be streamed LIVE on mainepublic.org. Welcome back, Sara!

Join Maine Public at the 36th Camden Conference!

Global Trade and Politics: Managing Turbulence
Moderated by Marketplace Morning Report’s David Brancaccio

Maine Public is once again very pleased to be a Media Sponsor of the Camden Conference. Taking place February 17-19, this year’s conference takes on the topic of global trade. The movement of goods, services and money around the world is so complex and affected by so many factors that it’s little short of a miracle that a made-in-Vietnam shirt you ordered last week is delivered to your Maine doorstep today. Its journey was buffeted by supply-chain breakdowns, trade and tariff pacts, acts of Congress, diplomacy, labor contracts, armed conflicts, and much more.

Moderator David Brancaccio, the host of American Public Media’s Marketplace Morning Report, and a roster of distinguished experts will untangle the web of global trade, live on the stage of the Camden Opera House and live-streamed to Hannaford Hall in Portland, the Strand Theatre in Rockland, the Hutchinson Center in Belfast, and to homes across Maine.

Tickets are on sale now, register today to secure your real (or virtual) seats:

Maine Public Reporter Turns ATC Host

Join us in welcoming Robbie Feinberg as our permanent All Things Considered host.  Robbie comes to the new position after reporting and hosting in various roles across the Maine Public newsroom since 2016. He began as the station's education reporter, where he helped lead the "Maine Education Project," a multi-year effort documenting Maine's schools and students through radio features and Emmy-nominated TV productions. In recent years, Robbie has worked as the station's Bangor Correspondent, and as a reporter and host based in southern Maine, where he has covered issues from education to housing and the environment. His stories have been routinely distributed on national programs including Morning Edition, All Things Considered, Here & Now and Marketplace.

Mark Simpson, Maine Public's Director of News and Public Affairs adds, "I’ve been pleased to have Robbie as a colleague and impressed with his ability to tackle new assignments with ease.  I know he’ll do great in the anchor seat!"

Before arriving at Maine Public, Robbie worked for WMUK-FM in Kalamazoo, Michigan, where he hosted daily and weekly programs and produced in-depth features on agriculture, business and the arts.  Robbie graduated from the University of Maryland in 2014 and is also a graduate of the Transom Story Workshop.

Tune in weekdays at 4 p.m. or stream live at mainepublic.org!
