On September 24, Dr. Lori Marino, founder and president of the Whale Sanctuary Project, will provide the keynote address exploring how the science of animal cognition has become an integral part of efforts to recognize the legal rights of other animals in the U.S. and other countries.
This fascinating topic is one of many on the agenda at the Animal Law Symposium: Washington, D.C., which is also available via livestreaming.

Dr. Marino will be joined by 20 other experts for this full-day symposium to discuss animal law issues before the courts around the country. In-person and livestream tickets are available. Attorneys will be eligible for five hours of Continuing Legal Education (CLE) credits, pending approval from the Virginia State Bar Association. In-person attendees will be treated to delicious meals and a special closing reception!
