Former coal companies are logging and burning forests for energy and calling it green. The industry is rapidly expanding because of billions in government subsidies across the globe. Now’s the moment – while this destructive industry is still in its infancy – to cut these taxpayer handouts and stop it in its tracks.

Some of the most delicate forests at stake are in British Columbia, the west coast of Canada, and in the U.S. If this destructive industry continues at its current pace, it puts at risk millions of hectares of primary and old growth forests – and the delicate ecosystems that rely on their health.
Last year, communities across the world were met with extreme wildfires, the global heat dome, flooding and landslides – breaking records all over the world. We know that the magnitude of these disasters are a direct result of practices like runaway logging. As the world races to mitigate the impacts of climate change, we must ensure our governments make timely investments in real renewables and truly green, long term jobs for all.
That’s precisely why everyone, everywhere needs to know the truth about forest biomass. For too long fossil fuel companies have controlled the narrative and now, we’re taking the power back.
