Family of Willamette alumni eligible for new undergraduate scholarship

by Office of Advancement,

We are excited to share that, starting with the entering class of fall 2022, the Willamette Family Scholarship will be available to incoming undergraduate students who are the children, grandchildren, nieces/nephews, or siblings of any Willamette University alum (College of Arts and Sciences, Pacific Northwest College of Art, College of Law, and the Atkinson Graduate School of Management). A $2,000 scholarship will be added on top of any other financial aid that a student receives. Students who enroll at the College of Arts and Sciences or the Pacific Northwest College of Art BFA program are eligible and the award is renewable for up to four years.

“Our alumni know how important Willamette has been in helping them to transform knowledge into action and lead lives of achievement, contribution and meaning," says William Mullen, vice president for enrollment management. "They are our best ambassadors when it comes to encouraging the next generation to consider Willamette. We are pleased to establish the Willamette Family Scholarship for Undergraduate Students, celebrating the family connection our prospective students have with Willamette."

Do you have a high-school-aged prospective Bearcat in your family? If so, let us know about them!

Prospective students do not need to take any additional action, but should indicate the name of, class year of, and relationship to the alum on the common application when they apply. If they apply by Nov. 15, 2021, they can also qualify for a $1,000 early application incentive.
